What is it?
The MAmi-VSIF (MAmidiMEmo VGM Sound Interface) is a USB dongle that bridges your Windows PC to real retro sound hardware. It works with MAmidiMEmo — a software MIDI sound source for Windows capable of playing FM and PSG sound sources from retro PCs, retro games, and chiptune music.
With MAmidiMEmo alone, you can play FM/PSG sound sources from your DAW, MIDI sequencer, or MIDI keyboard in software. But connect this VSIF dongle to a real sound source via USB, and MAmidiMEmo drives the actual hardware chips instead — delivering authentic retro audio straight from the original silicon.
This unit is compatible with MSX / PC-6001 systems. By connecting it to your Windows PC, you can send data directly to the real sound sources built into or connected to your MSX or P6, and enjoy VGM playback using genuine hardware sound chips.
