What is it?

JoyMega is an adapter that allows connecting Sega Genesis/Mega Drive game controllers to MSX computers. By default, buttons B and C are mapped to MSX triggers 1 and 2. Fully supports up to 8 buttons (A, B, C, Start, X, Y, Z, Mode).

What makes it special?

• No driver or modification needed — plug and play
• Fully MSX compatible; extra buttons available for use in your programs
• Compatible with MSX-HID plug-and-play detection
• Single mode of operation — no legacy/advanced mode switching
• Zero lag — no translation microcontrollers, uses only classic components
• Also supports Sega Multitap (MK-1654 and compatibles)
• Very low power consumption (well within 50mA Joyport limit):
  • 74LS04 version: 6.6–18mA
  • 74HCT04 version: only 20μA
